The recurrencies project is about bringing into broader "currency" things that have stabilized, that circulate in closed loops, or are otherwise smoothly rendered as commodities.
We begin with electricity and urban life. These are experiments in which electricity is newly curious of contemporary power, property and control relationships. It encounters new and old ideas of equitability, exchange, pleasure, negotiation and sociability (much of this with the benefit of "digital" hindsight).
Such electricity then asks the question, of itself and other technologies: what does it do? How can we use it? For a differently-organised present, at the threshold of other "embedded" states to come.
